Effect of boiling operation in the coking dry gas desulfurization tower

Has anyone here ever carried out the operation of boiling the dry gas desulfurization tower? We have done it several times, and the results were fairly good, but we always feel that there is still room for improvement; after the operation is complete, we’re not sure about the final outcome. Let me first explain our actions: Phenomenon: The dry gas contained liquid; both the purification dry gas filter and the coalescer had liquid in them. Liquid removal operations were carried out continuously, which led to the conclusion that the trays in the dry gas desulfurization tower were blocked. Action taken: The dry gas desulfurization tower was isolated, and the system was purged with air from a low-pressure source; purging was performed on-site ； Then boil the water ； Closed discharge of wastewater: Normal operation after implementation
This approach is good, but experience is needed to control the amount of water added to the boiling tower and the time required for boiling.
What do you think is the main reason? Our analysis indicates that it is caused by coke dust being carried along. The main issue is that the amount of diesel used for washing in the diesel absorption tower is insufficient, resulting in severe carryover of coke powder in the dry gas
