Please talk about how the sulfolane storage tanks in various plants are cleaned
Sulfolane – it’s the first time I’ve heard of this material.
Sulfolane is a chemical raw material used in benzene extraction units; nitrogen blanketing is employed during storage to keep it isolated from air. In terms of the process of emptying such tanks, my understanding is that it is similar to the procedures used for emptying light oil products, such as removing residual oil from the bottom, opening manholes, using steam for cleaning, and ensuring proper ventilation
Internal floating roof tanks are used, with nitrogen protection. The tank is equipped with coil heating and radar level sensing. Be careful to keep it away from air
