Alkylation reactor: poor separation of acid and hydrocarbon

We are using a stage-reactor for sulfate-based alkylation; the separation of acid and hydrocarbon compounds is not good. What should we do when acid remains in the mixture? Please advise, experts
There are many ways to cause physical soreness; the key is to figure out why it occurs 1. Determine the separation time of the acid-oil emulsion based on the ratio of acids to oils; excessive emulsification should be avoided. 2. Check whether the level sensor in the on-site acid settler is functioning properly. 3. Verify whether the back-pressure controlled valve is working correctly. 4. Determine if the raw material contains a high amount of propylene. 5. Assess whether the acid circulation speed is too fast, resulting in insufficient acid settling time. In short, no matter what problems arise, it’s important to stay calm in order to handle them properly! I’m not sure if it can help you!
