I would like to ask everyone: Do any of the existing research institutes in China currently have mature coal gasification technology using pressurized air? Can it produce high-concentration syngas? It is best if the unit has proven track record in industrial applications. If anyone knows, please tell me.
There are many. The most widely used ones in China at present are space furnaces; the Dongfang furnace produced by Sinopec is also good, as well as the Collin furnace, among others. Their technical principles are the same, and the gas composition depends on the quality of the coal – generally, the effective gas content is over 80%.
Colin is not Chinese technology. In China, for dry powder gasification, there are the Wuhuan furnace developed by Wuhuan, as well as the two-stage furnace designed by Xi’an Thermal Power Institute. In addition, Shenhua has its Ningmei furnace, Liuhua has its Qiyao Liuhua furnace; Jinzhong and Shengyu have also developed gasification furnaces. Jinnan Coal and Ningbo Engineering Company have created their own versions of such furnaces – it’s a true landscape of competition among various manufacturers.
Which one offers the best results at a low cost?
The choice of gasifier depends primarily on the type of coal you have and what product is to be produced. The technology for pulverized coal gasifiers is also highly mature nowadays; space furnaces are widely used in practical applications, and the Dongfang furnace works just as well.
Could you tell me what the syngas is mainly used for, what the end product is, as well as the quality data of the coal that will be used as raw material?
