Safety valve discharges from the extraction tower and the raffinate water washing tower of the aromatic hydrocarbon extraction unit

I have a question regarding aromatic extraction units. Since the safety valves of the extraction tower and the wash tower for the raffinate oil are designed to discharge liquid phases, I’m wondering whether in the units you work with these safety valves discharge into the sludge tank, the flare header, or some other location. I would appreciate any insights you can provide. Thank you!
The process isn’t entirely clear, but in my opinion, it’s not ideal for the medium to flow into the flare once the safety valve activates, as sulfolane cannot come into contact with air. These two types of media should not be sent directly to the flare; instead, they should return to the low-pressure sections of the system, such as the feed tanks.
After the safety valve of the extraction system activates, the fluid enters the venting system; the liquid phase flows into the venting tank, and from there it is discharged through a sealed outlet at the bottom of the tank into an underground solvent tank, where sulfolane is recovered.
