During the on-site unpacking inspection, it was found that there was liquid accumulation inside the heat exchanger, causing rusting within the equipment. Larger heat exchangers have a more complex internal structure, including heat exchange tubes, partitions, and tube retainers; all of these can affect the drainage of liquid after pressure testing. Do equipment manufacturers have good methods to dry the interior of equipment?

Just blow in hot nitrogen or heat the emissions, and that will solve it, right?
Did the manufacturer not drain all the water after completing the hydrostatic test? Is it still because the opening isn’t sealed properly and water is getting in?

When designing heat exchangers, consideration should be given to the issue of liquid drainage. Liquid guide channels and drainage holes (tear holes) should be provided at the bottom of the support partitions for the heat exchange tubes as well as in the partitioning structures within the tube side, in order to achieve effective drainage. At the same time, during the hydraulic test, the interior of the equipment should be dried out as required after the testing is completed, in order to prevent the aforementioned situations from occurring.
This is mainly due to human factors; there are probably many solutions, it just depends on how they are implemented. In your case, it seems that no one took care of things after the pressure test; even blowing air through it would not cause such a problem.
Generally, two methods are used: drying with compressed air; and drying with heated air.
Generally speaking, for those who need to fast from water, pneumatic pressure is used. For those without requirements, set to emptying, waste outlet ; Set up relevant drainage systems and sewage channels as necessary
What does it have to do with the material? ? ? A pressure test has to be carried out anyway. . . It’s impossible for heat exchangers not to allow the use of carbon steel material. . .
