Gearboxes are required in the design of large valves; should beuvolges or spur gears used? Which one should be chosen?
There’s no need for design for this; just ask the manufacturer directly
Bevel gears are used to change the angle, while spur gears serve for transmitting motion
Generally, bevel gears are used for multi-turn applications, worm gears for partial-turn applications; spur gears are usually used in two-pole systems, while direct-drive types are rarely used.
It’s all about transmission; it’s just that the direction of force transfer is different.
It needs to be determined when preparing the pipeline grade table. Gears are generally used, but I saw a highly advanced company use spur gears instead.
