Difference between guide pipe clamps and fastening pipe clamps
In HG/T 21629 \"Standard Drawings for Pipe Supports\", the guide pipe clamps and the fastening pipe clamps are actually the same; the difference lies in the bolt diameter, which is d+2 for one type and d for the other. An extra 2 mm allows the bolt to move, serving as a guide.
The functions are different: the guide’s role is to restrict the lateral displacement of the pipeline, while its longitudinal displacement is not restricted. The function of fixation is to impose restrictions in both horizontal and vertical directions
However, on the atlas, the bolt diameter for the guide clamps is d, while that for the fixing clamps is d+2. What’s going on?
The guide tube clamp has R=C and R>the pipe radius, allowing the pipe to slide freely； The fastening clamp satisfies R>C, where R is the radius of the pipe; the pipe cannot slide freely.
