Please note the word \"should\" in the phrase \"Visual inspection holes should be provided at fixed heights; the maximum distance between such holes should not exceed 20m, they should be evenly distributed along the circumference, and there should be no fewer than 4 of them.\" If the designers believe it is truly unnecessary, they can also refrain from requiring it...
For some tanks, it is still necessary to check the top of the tank from time to time, and this is not necessarily to check the liquid level.
I know it should be “suitable”, but I didn’t notice before that inspection holes are also required on the tops of atmospheric pressure dome tanks; I’ve never seen any such holes on our storage tanks. Generally, atmospheric pressure tank tops have lighting openings, gauge ports, breather valves, etc., but no inspection holes.
