How to prevent pressure buildup in the long-distance crude oil inlet lines of refineries? Under normal circumstances, crude oil is pumped into the tank via long-distance pipelines; what should be done if pressure builds up in the pipeline? Can a safety valve be installed on the pipeline to relieve pressure? Or in some other way? How is it all done? Please give me some advice
We generally use two or more tanks to store crude oil, which basically prevents pressure buildup at the end of the system. If it’s simply pressure buildup in the pipeline (such as wax formation), then some method should be found to deal with the pipeline first.
Our tanks are not at the same level, and there isn’t enough time for preparation either
