How many meters should the two loading and unloading nozzles for Class A flammable liquids be away from the fence?
Can’t it be considered as a regular Class A installation?
According to petrochemical regulations, the distance between an automobile loading/unloading station and the fence should be 25 meters; this distance is measured from the edge of the loading/unloading station, not from the dip pipe. According to the regulations for oil storage tanks, the starting point for the spacing is taken from the nozzle of the dip pipe; in cases where there is no oil and gas recovery system, the distance from the wall should be 15 m, while in cases where such a system is available, it should be 11 m. So it depends on which standard you are following.
Are the petrochemical regulations more stringent, considering the materials from that perspective?
