Aging of the furnace structure leads to an increase in its porosity, a reduction in the pressure drop across the air distribution plates, and a decrease in the resistance encountered by the primary air. The reduced wind speed results in a lower ability to return materials, which causes ash to accumulate in the return device. This, in turn, reduces the capacity of the flue gas to carry materials, as well as the separation efficiency of the distributor and its ability to return materials, leading to a decrease in the boiler’s circulation rate and a drop in its thermal efficiency
