On-site instruments: FF electromagnetic, DCS system: DeltaV (with AMS). During the test this afternoon, a new device was temporarily connected to the position of the device that was working properly before; all tests passed, and normal communication was possible. After the test, when the original instrument wiring was restored, the problem reappeared – the instruments that could communicate normally before could no longer do so. . . However, the status displayed on the instrument panel was normal, with no alarm messages appearing. Previously, if there was a loss of communication, it would indicate that there was a problem with the communication. . Have anyone else encountered similar problems? What could be the reason? I’m not very familiar with the FF bus; is it because the original address is already in use, causing a conflict? I would appreciate it if someone familiar with the FF bus and AMS could help analyze this. Thank you!
There are two possibilities: 1. There is a problem with the connector of the table; repeated removal and movement have led to poor contact; 2. The communication module was damaged during operation.
What brand is the watch? What is the version of FF? Have you done compatibility testing for the EMERSON system before? (Probably not) @jiaguoyun
On the 3rd floor, communication was normal originally. This device in its original location has previously reported communication issues, which indicates a problem with the communication module or its configuration. The most troublesome aspect of FF devices is their configuration – changing it from auto to oos can result in a loss of communication. Also, check whether this line is damaged, as errors are reported occasionally, which may indicate intermittent connections
Communication failures are the most troublesome. First, determine whether the device can be located but not recognized, or whether it cannot be found at all; in the former case, configuration issues need to be considered, while in the latter case, hardware problems are to be addressed.

And will it be allocated to that device again once it reconnects? At present, there are no issues with this device when checked on-site; the status is good. If there is a problem with the bus connection, the message “Fieldbus Not Communicating” will be displayed.

Connecting it in reverse should not cause damage; there should be 24V voltage on the FF circuit, so check to see if that’s the case
1. The FF connection of the 8732E has no positive/negative distinction; it is \"insensitive\" to polarity. 2. The address is set by the FF table; the system simply reads its address and assigns an address. 3. I have encountered situations where the EMERSON meter became disconnected from its own system; upon inspection, it was found that water had entered the meter’s header.
