There is a decanter on the side inside the tower; can someone explain when it is used and how to use it? Thank you
A decanter is a relatively new type of solid-liquid separation device; it can be used not only for clarifying suspensions but also to replace filtration in solid-liquid separation processes involving high solid contents, and it can even be employed in liquid-liquid-solid three-phase mixed extraction.

It’s a new solid-liquid separation element that hasn’t been used very much yet; the manufacturer should have some instructions for it.
