Yesterday morning I heard someone downstairs calling out to repair umbrellas; these days a single umbrella costs only ten or twenty yuan – will there be anyone willing to repair them? How much will the repair cost? Can one support a family by doing this?
It depends on the value of the umbrella, or whether it has any special meaning. It’s mainly a problem with the umbrella stand. . . If it really is someone who fixes umbrellas, then they should be encouraged. Be careful, though – there might be people who leave marks; the poster should check whether anything has been marked near their home.
I usually fix my own umbrella when it needs repair; it’s usually just minor issues.
Some things still have their value; those who engage in them may not do so for money.
Currently, sharpening knives is quite common, and there are also those that use baking pans.
The one used for fixing pots is no longer visible; it used to seem really amazing
