According to reports from our newspaper, Beijing Yingde Qingda Technology Co., Ltd., in collaboration with Tsinghua University, owns the proprietary rights to the Tsinghua furnace featuring a coal feeding capacity of 1,500 tons per day and a water-cooled wall. This furnace was recently successfully put into operation at Xinjiang Tianzhi Chenye Chemical Co., Ltd., where methanol was produced. This furnace type has a wide range of coal adaptability and inherent advantages in treating difficult-to-manage organic wastewater. The successful operation of the Tsinghua furnace with a coal feeding rate of 1,500 tons per day and a pressure of 6.5 MPa, using water-cooled walls made of coal slurry, marks a solid step forward in the development of such furnaces toward larger scales. In 2011, a Tsinghua-type furnace with a coal feeding rate of 600 tons per day and a pressure of 4.0 MPa, equipped with a water-cooled wall for coal slurry, was successfully demonstrated at Shanxi Fengxi Group, and has been operating safely and stably to this day.
