Based on the power of the diesel fire pump, the fuel consumption per unit can be calculated; this value is then multiplied by the maximum time required to run the pump once, to determine the volume of diesel needed. Adding a safety factor as well should allow for an accurate calculation.
By holding the measured amount of oil and pouring it into the tank, one can get a rough estimate
Thank you, I’m looking at several standards for fire pumps; I hope to find some solutions. The volume returned by the manufacturer is much larger than what we estimated
