In Aspen EDR, the properties of fluids can be entered directly by the user, or they can be generated from the Aspen Properties, COMThermo, or B-JAC property packages. They can also be imported from Aspen Plus or Aspen HYSYS files. How can they be imported? ? ? Could you please explain it in more detail? Thank you.
EDR can directly open BKP or HSC files.
What causes this error message? Failed to generate the Aspen Plus APPDF file required for property calculations. No heating/cooling curve data calculated.
Simply place a heat exchanger model in Aspen Plus, select strict calculation there, specify the path to the EDR file, and after running the calculation, the EDR file will be generated, with the data being imported automatically
As mentioned above, your A+ model does not have a usable heat exchanger. This is basically the same as what was mentioned above; one involves operations within A+, while the other involves operations within EDR.
In fact, it’s not necessarily necessary to import data from Aspen Plus; EDR’s Aspen Properties function is also quite powerful. Its database is essentially as large and comprehensive as that of Aspen Plus itself. Many datasets have been compared, and its accuracy is reliable
The Aspen properties in EDR are the same as the Aspen properties in A+; they refer to the same thing, so of course they are identical.
