On the corrosion prevention of well pump pipelines

The most common anti-corrosion methods for ordinary pipes when submerged in water for long periods include: anti-corrosion through galvanizing (hot-dip galvanizing is the best option), anti-corrosion by applying resin, and anti-corrosion using rust-proof paint combined with asphalt paint. For general water quality, hot-dip galvanized pipes are of course the best choice, as they are resistant to rust and high temperatures. If conditions do not permit it, a protective layer made of resin and glass fibers is also a good option, as it is more resistant to corrosion. If those conditions are no longer available, then using rust-proof paint along with asphalt paint (or asphalt) will also work. However, no matter which method is used, the initial rust removal of the steel pipe is the most important, as it determines the success or failure of corrosion protection. With the latter two methods, it is first necessary to remove all the surface rust completely before proceeding to the next step. Otherwise, it will not be able to provide protection.
