It mainly involves removing ammonia from the condensate by extracting the ammonia vapor, after which the condensate is sent back to the vaporization unit for reuse, thereby preventing the accumulation of ammonia in the process system and avoiding issues such as ammonium salt crystallization.
The condensate from the process gas becomes enriched in the shift unit and contains a high amount of ammonia. If this water is sent back to the gasification system without being treated, it will cause the ammonia nitrogen content in the water of the entire system to keep increasing, leading to a deterioration in water quality.
