During the wet sulfidation of catalysts used for diesel hydrogenation, what is typically the flow rate of the sulfiding oil compared to the design flow rate of the plant? Are there any specific requirements?
The amount of vulcanizing oil is provided to you by the catalyst manufacturers, right? Generally, a larger amount of oil needs to be used at the beginning, while less can be used later on; the key is to keep the concentration of hydrogen sulfide during vulcanization between 0.3–0.5%
The unit is in circulation; this flow rate should be similar to or slightly lower than that during normal production. The flow rate of the vulcanizing agent is provided by the catalyst manufacturer.
