As is well known, the production cycle of coking units is not continuous; they are intermittent production facilities. Each time a periodic operation is carried out, there are processes for removing cold coke and coke from the equipment. Sometimes, due to different raw materials being used, two problems can occur during the coke removal process: drill jamming and drill entrapment. I would like to know how you handle these situations – I hope experts can offer some guidance. Thank you again.
I remember the master saying once that, in my case, degassing and the separation of reactants in the preceding reaction are separate tasks. In normal drilling, the person responsible for removing coke moves the drill bit up and down slowly, lifting it bit by bit. I don’t know exactly how to do it, as I’ve never done it in practice.

It depends on the situation. Generally, when the drill bit gets stuck, it can’t be pulled out; either the equipment needs to be improved or more force is required to get it free. 1. A top drive system can be used instead. 2. The drill pipe can be rotated using a pipe wrench, while the drilling rig’s frequency is adjusted; if it still can’t be pulled out, the brake should be released and the drill bit turned manually. 3. If the distance to the lower vertebra isn’t great, the high-pressure water pump can be activated to keep drilling – it’s crucial not to switch to cutting mode, and drilling should continue downward. 4. If it still can’t be pulled out, then call me and I’ll think of another way to solve it, haha
