CAD area coverage issue

I have created many CAD blocks, and when inserting valve blocks into the drawings, I want them to overlay the existing pipelines (lines), rather than breaking the pipelines after insertion. What I do is: draw many line segments according to the shape of the block, and use the area fill command. After completing the operation, it is possible to overlay the original graphics, but the problem is that the previously drawn boundary lines (polylines) are still visible. How can these boundary lines be removed? Is there something wrong with my approach? Are there detailed step-by-step instructions? ?
This overlay operation will not be performed. Polyline, explode it into regular lines, how?
