Do all pressure vessel designers need to be present during the review for the renewal of a unit’s pressure vessel design approval?
Generally, everyone participates; during the defense, one should first answer questions related to design. If they are unsure about design aspects, they should answer those related to verification. If they are not sure about verification either, they should answer questions related to review. If they are unsure about review as well, they should answer questions related to approval. If they are not sure about approval either, those who have not signed can also answer. This helps to reflect the overall design level of the company. The exam is taken by persons other than the reviewers and approvers, and a score of no less than 80 is required. It’s an open-book exam; as long as you are careful, you can basically pass it.
The principle is that there are no restrictions on the number of people. But in practice, the bosses, executives, and auditors are all present, so many designers are reluctant to gather around them and thus lose the opportunity to learn.

It depends on the provisions in the appointment document for the pressure vessel designers at the organization; anything specified in that document requires participation, and an exam must be taken (those with a certification are exempt from the exam)
