The purchase was scheduled for early 2016, and the specifications are as follows: 1: Medium: H2 with a purity of 5 nines. 2: Inlet pressure: 0.5 bar, with the output pressure to be 3 bar. 3: Flow rate: 550 cubic meters per hour. 4: The compressors need to operate continuously for 24 hours. 5: The brands must be imported. Generally, reciprocating compressors and diaphragm compressors can be used for hydrogen compression; diaphragm compressors are the best option as they do not leak. Reciprocating machines use Siait components, while for membrane presses, domestic ones are sufficient.
Using a diaphragm compressor is completely fine; don’t worry
After a preliminary calculation, for an reciprocating compressor with oil-free lubrication and two stages of compression, the shaft power is approximately 37 kW, while the starting power is 43 kW. The inlet temperatures for the first and second stages are set at 40°C, with the exhaust temperatures being 91°C and 95°C respectively. The unit is very small; domestic reciprocating compressors can be used for its construction. It’s a skid-mounted type, equipped with Holberg gas valves and seals, and the cost per unit is around 1 million. . Such small compressors can be produced domestically, but the difference is that they are not as refined as those made abroad. .
