What types of supports are represented by these in the pipe support diagram? PS – general special support; VSH – variable spring support; CSH – constant spring support; HSN – hydraulic snubber support; MSN – mechanical snubber support; STR – strut support; SWB – sway brace support; TPS – temporary special support

The students are not very competent; what do mechanical damping brackets and hydraulic damping brackets look like? Is a variable spring bracket the same as a constant-force spring bracket? I’ve never used a damping bracket either; you can look it up on Baidu. A variable spring bracket allows the spring load to change with displacement, whereas in the case of a constant-force spring bracket, the load is required to remain within 6% of its value as displacement changes.
