I’m seeking advice from experts: is dichloroethane generated during the PVC production process? How is it produced? What impurities are present? I understand that ordinary PVC factories sell dichloroethane. I’d like to learn about the relevant information. Thank you

In the PVC process using ethylene, ethylene is first reacted with chlorine to produce dichloroethane. Then dichloroethane is cracked to produce vinyl chloride. Dichloroethane can be considered an intermediate in the PVC production process.
