What do molecular sieves, activated carbon, and alumina adsorb respectively in the methanol-to-hydrogen process?
Is there an order of adsorption between them?
I only know that alumina absorbs water and is placed at the bottom layer
In natural gas-based hydrogen production, alumina is primarily used to absorb water； Activated carbon mainly adsorbs carbon dioxide, methane, and carbon monoxide ； Molecular sieves mainly adsorb oxygen and nitrogen.
The amount of activated carbon required is much less than that of molecular sieves
