I have a few questions regarding safety valves, as I really don’t understand much about gas systems. I earnestly ask for your guidance. I. Do all pressure vessels have to be equipped with safety valves? II. As for gas transmission pipelines, can they also be regarded as pressure vessels? Then, how are safety valves on such pipelines specified? III. If a safety valve is installed on the pipeline near the gas storage tank, is it then unnecessary to install a safety valve on the tank itself? If so, what is the approximate distance at which a safety valve is not required? Thank you all for your advice; I am extremely grateful
It is recommended to refer to HG/T 20570.2-95 on the installation and selection of safety valves
Try to install them as much as possible, but it’s not necessary to have them all; for example, if several air buffer tanks of the same specification are connected in series without cut-off valves between them, it is sufficient to install one valve on the tank closest to the air supply source

The installation of safety valves is regulated by standards; not all equipment requires a safety valve, which should be installed based on its position in the process and its relationship with surrounding components.
