I would like to ask the experts: How much investment is required for the previous set of 100,000-ton oil slurry furfural extraction plants? Excluding land and related fees, with the main focus on design, equipment, and installation costs?

There are several such facilities in Shandong, as well as in Fujian and Sichuan. Of course, it’s not possible to extract it directly using oil slurry; pre-treatment is required first.
Is the information true? It is very difficult to extract the oil slurry using furfural: firstly, the density difference is too small, and secondly, the two substances are miscible with each other. What preprocessing techniques can be used to address the density issue? I guess some of those companies might not be dealing with pure catalytic slurry. Also: Is the oil extracted from the slurry used as black rubber oil?
This was developed by an engineer at the Luoyang plant back then, and it was later rolled out on a wider scale. It was first used in Jiujiang in combination with catalytic processes, and it also helped to solve the problem of density differences. Of course, it wasn’t a direct copy of the furfural extraction equipment used in the traditional processes; rather, some modifications were made. It’s not possible to dilute it with gasoline; that approach won’t work. A dual-solvent or single-solvent system can be used, but most of the asphaltenes and resins must first be removed through vacuum distillation.
