Corrosion protection issues of steel strip finned tubes

Steel-band wound fin tubes are sometimes used in heat exchange equipment, but steel bands do not have very good corrosion resistance in air. So I would like to ask whether such fin tubes require anti-corrosion treatment? How much of an impact will rust on the steel strip have on its heat transfer properties? I’m seeking advice from everyone here!

No way! Firstly, the cost of stainless steel increases, and the required material is carbon steel!
Then you need to find a way to add some corrosion inhibitor to your medium; as for whether such an inhibitor is available, check online.
