Why is a \"Comprehensive Material Table\" needed?

As the title suggests, what is a comprehensive material table used for?
It facilitates the calculation of project costs as well as subsequent audits.
Statistics, verification, approval, and providing guidance for the procurement department’s purchasing activities.
I once saw a property owner hand it over to the **supervision department; I’m not sure what that means It’s not a planned economy!
Without a comprehensive material list, how can the purchasing department make purchases? It is essentially a summary table of the specifications and quantities of various pipes, pipe fittings, and valves.
The bidding phase is mainly used for requesting quotes.
So how is a material sheet prepared for components with special manufacturing requirements? :)
For items with special manufacturing requirements, it’s best to provide a separate table; if dimensions are specified, drawings should also be attached. In fact, as long as you describe everything clearly so that the manufacturer can produce it, that’s sufficient.
