What precautions should be taken regarding the level gauge before and after starting up and shutting down the synthesis tower?
When driving, the liquid level needs to be adjustable since false readings can occur during parking due to oil contamination; at the same time, as production increases, the discharge valve should also be gradually opened wider. When stopping the operation, production decreases and the liquid level tends to drop; therefore, the discharge valve needs to be closed slowly. Hence, during start-up/shutdown or changes in flow rate, special attention must be paid to the liquid level, discharge pressure, as well as the pressure changes in the methanol intermediate storage tank, to keep these values within specified ranges.
