Intersections of material lines in the process flow diagram?

When the material lines in a process flow diagram intersect, how are they separated? Are it horizontal lines or vertical lines that serve as the separation? Are there any rules? ?
The general choice is “horizontal cut, no vertical break””
When crossing, the main material is generally not interrupted……
The example diagram on page 29 of HG/T20519-2009 shows vertical bars with continuous horizontal bars, and this is also the requirement in our company
The general choice should be “vertical breaks, no horizontal breaks”.
Crossed but not severed, auxiliary cut but main intact

Supportive breaks without continuous breaks; vertical breaks without horizontal breaks. It was taught to me by a senior expert in process engineering at my previous workplace.
