I. Simulation of the MPI network 1. Selection of PC/PG port: STEP7 selects PLCSIM (MPI), WINCC selects MPI (Wincc) –> PLCSIM (MPI). 2. First, write the control program in the STEP7 V5.4 software. 3. Open the S7-PLCSIM V5.4 software; in the window that appears, check the option below, select the second option, and choose to open the project containing the STEP7 V5.4 program. 4. Download the program and run it. 5. Open WINCC V6.0 and create a new project; add a new driver in Variable Management, select …S7…, then create a new connection via MPI. Right-click on MPI –> System Parameters –> Units –> and choose “PLCSIM (MPI)” under Logical Devices. 6. Create a new variable, edit the screen, and then save and run it. II. Simulation of the TCP/IP network 1. Selection of PC/PG ports: STEP7 selects PLCSIM (RFC 1006), while WINCC selects CP_I2_1: --> PLCSIM (RFC 1006). 2. First, configure the hardware using the STEP7 V5.4 software (a CP343-1 is required, and its IP address must be entered), and then write the control program. 3. Open the S7-PLCSIM V5.4 software; in the window that appears, check the option below, select the second option, and choose to open the project containing the STEP7 V5.4 program. 4. Download the program and run it. 5. Open WINCC V6.0 and create a new project; add a new driver in Variable Management, select the …S7… option, then create a new connection over TCP/IP (make sure to enter the IP address used during STEP7 configuration), and change the slot number to 2. Right-click on TCP/IP --> System Parameters --> Units --> Select “CP_I2_1:” under Logical Devices. 6. Create a new variable, edit the screen, and then save and run it. III. Simulation of the PROFIBUS network 1. Selection of PG/PC interface: In STEP7, select S7ONINE (STEP7) --> PLCSIM (PROFIBUS); in WINCC, select CP_I2_1 --> PLCSIM (PROFIBUS). 2. In WINCC, create a new connection for PROFIBUS, then go to the PROFIBUS system parameters – Unit – Logical device name; select: PLCSIM (PROFIBUS). 3. The rest is the same as the simulation for MPI and TCP/IP. *PLCSIM Version 5.4
