Ask what qualifications are required to manufacture manholes
I’ve really never heard of this. For manholes, they consist of flanges, cover plates, and pipes; I don’t think any special qualifications are required
In my opinion, manholes are always attached to equipment; standard manholes purchased from outside use standard flanges, so there is no need for strength calculations, and that’s fine. As for non-standard manholes, they are manufactured by the factory itself, and since that factory is qualified, there are no issues.
So, can only those with manufacturing qualifications for pressure pipeline component flanges produce manholes? Thank you.
How large can the diameter of a pressure pipeline be? Since manholes also need to be installed, the pressure shouldn’t be too high. Personally, I think it’s better to use standard manholes. Personal opinion!
Manholes used in pressure vessels are considered key pressure-bearing components of such vessels, and the manufacturing qualifications required for manholes must be consistent with those specified for pressure vessels.
