The school has a cinema, which is of course in the west – an old cinema. How old is it? It still has wooden benches and pirated films. I remember that the school used to show movies on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays, usually two shows: one at 6 p.m. and another at 8 p.m. There were no new movies shown; only old films. But they were cheap, with ticket prices of about 50 cents each. It’s nice to watch old movies, and they are shown in series. Movie posters would be posted at the intersections. If you like certain movies, go to the west side in the afternoon to buy tickets, then head to the east side for classes, or wait until after 7 p.m. and go straight to the cinema with your backpack. Our school also holds movie screenings in the square next to Building 6; a projector is used, and when there aren’t enough chairs, people sit on the steps or stand by the road to watch~~
Outdoor movies are really great – and they’re free too
I mean, it has an atmosphere. . Sometimes, when I go back to the dormitory at night, I pass by there to see what’s being shown; if I like it, I stop to watch it before heading back to the dorm.~~ But it can be a bit problematic when the wind is strong. . . .

Our school’s cinema is located in the middle of the campus; there are movies shown there as well, but not many people go to watch them. The guys from the electronics department used the TVs they had in class to show videos on weekends; it was a large lecture hall that could hold around a hundred people, and each person paid one dollar. Haha, generating income. I don’t remember having seen projection equipment at school. In English class, movies were shown occasionally, but then I don’t know which student informed the academic affairs office, and it was stopped.
