In my opinion, the most important aspect of selecting a control valve is proper modeling. If this step isn’t done correctly, it’s hard to imagine how such a valve can function properly. Many valve manufacturers in China don’t conduct thorough calculations of the CV value or verify the appropriate operating range; instead, they make their choices based on the diameter provided by the customer or the parameters indicated on the original valve. It’s surprising then if no problems arise with such valves. It’s also irresponsible to sell or purchase a valve without first ensuring that it can meet the actual requirements for adjusting the opening degree in the actual operating conditions. Next are the product processing techniques, as well as the transfer and allocation technologies. How can such products be of good quality if their processing is rough and the workers assemble them carelessly? Next are testing and after-sales service. I think testing is a necessary process in factories, but many companies fail to carry it out, resulting in serious internal and external leaks of the valves once they arrive at the site. Regarding after-sales service, I think whether the products are imported or domestically produced, can you guarantee that there won’t be any problems during installation on-site or during online debugging? Any issues should be resolved immediately; don’t shift responsibility – if it’s your fault, you should reflect on it. I don’t recommend which one is good and which one is bad; what’s suitable for oneself is the most important. 1. Large-diameter control valves, in particular, have a throat diameter that is much too small; as a result, they are unable to achieve maximum flow rates when dealing with very high flow volumes. 2. For controlling low flow rates, the CV value of such valves is too low, and the valve spool cannot be positioned accurately – either the flow rate is sufficient as soon as the valve is opened, or there is little actual flow even after it has been opened. 3.
