Near the Xiyan service area on the Daguang Expressway, there was a chain collision involving 3 vehicles; I was in vehicle number 3, driving in the innermost lane at a speed of 120 km/h. The vehicle in front of me, number 2, pursued vehicle number 1, and it became stuck there – even applying the brakes fully didn’t prevent a collision. As a result, vehicle number 2 collided with vehicle number 1 once again. Vehicle number 1 suffered minor injuries, vehicle number 2 had minor damage to its front part but severe damage to its rear, while vehicle number 3 had serious damage to its front part. Fortunately, no one was injured. In the end, full responsibility was assigned to me.
That day, there were dozens of rear-end collisions on the Daguang Expressway, including one incident involving 8 vehicles in a chain collision. I was shocked at how dark the trailer was; it cost me 2000 for a distance of about 30 kilometers.
