Regarding operating voltage

A temperature sensor at the site cannot be connected to the 375 handheld controller. The no-load voltage is 24V; once the temperature sensor is connected, the voltage drops to 17V. The paperless recorder is not receiving power. Is it a problem with the channels of the paperless recorder or an issue with the wiring? Thank you

I’ve encountered many situations where the power for the instrument comes from a secondary meter, such as a flow meter; it’s quite common for the power to come from such devices. With this type of power supply setup, it’s often not possible for the 475 device to communicate properly with the instrument, but the problem is resolved as soon as another power source is used. I have solved the problem and found the cause: it was an electricity supply issue. However, I still don’t understand why the electricity output from the secondary meter causes this problem.
I suggest you try replacing the power supply, using a signal generator or some other type of 24V mobile power source. Otherwise, check if there are any instruments nearby that can communicate properly, and borrow power from them to give it a try
The power supply of the handheld controller at 24V is insufficient; it should be powered by a separate 24V power supply.
