Should I choose air separation or purification?

I just graduated and am struggling with the decision of whether to choose air separation or purification processes. Purification processes include conversion, methanol washing, liquid nitrogen washing, PSA, and Claus sulfur recovery, while air separation involves cryogenic methods. Which of these fields has better prospects for development? I’d appreciate some explanations
