Principles for instrument numbering in PID

What principles are generally followed for instrument numbers in PIDs? I looked at many standards yesterday but couldn’t find any; could those who are experienced in design please tell me the specific standards or principles? For example, are TI and TICA numbered sequentially or do they each have their own numbers?

It is common to number temperatures in a sequence, but it is better to assign numbers to control valves earlier in that sequence; for example, if there are eight temperature control valves, they should be named TIC-101, TIC-102, etc., as this makes them easier to remember. TI’s serial numbers are assigned in sequence, starting from TI-111; it’s fine if there are a few missing numbers in between.
I format the instrument number like this, with the temperature included. The pressure rises together. The liquid level, and so on. The transmitter and the corresponding instrument share the same designation.
