I am now designing a pump test bench using water as the medium. To prevent rust, I want to add a rust inhibitor to the water; I’m not sure what kind of rust inhibitor to use, nor how often it needs to be replaced Does it develop an odor over time? The materials of the piping on my test bench are carbon steel and cast steel. As long as it doesn’t rust, that’s fine
Add alkali to adjust the water’s pH to 8-9. Why not paint it?
Add a deoxygenizer; as long as there is no oxygen in the water, the pipes won’t rust
Pre-coating agents used in circulating water systems could be considered.
What I want to ask is why isn’t rust removal and corrosion protection done? Are you referring to the inner wall of the pipes?
Use galvanizing; if hot-dip galvanizing is difficult, opt for cold-galvanizing coatings. Those from Shanghai Jiangchang are of good quality and are available on Alibaba at reasonable prices
