Recently, we placed an order for a batch of alloy castings, but we’re not sure whether the raw castings supplied by the supplier are made from new material or old material. Is there any simple way to determine this?
Check the surface condition and the results of non-destructive testing; also consider whether the alloy will be used at high temperatures or in liquids, and test its hardness and surface quality.
Do you mean by new material and old material the differences in chemical composition standards, or something else?
