The area affected by acid rain in our country accounts for about 30% of the total national territory. At present, the acid rain areas in China are mainly distributed in the Sichuan Basin and the vast regions south of the Yangtze River and east of the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau. Parts of Central China, South China, Southwest China, and Northeast China remain areas severely affected by acid rain pollution, while acid rain occurs only in some areas in the north.
