Does anyone know the performance of clamp butterfly valves? Thank you
There are pneumatic and manual versions; they are generally used as quick shut-off valves, with the choice depending on the application.
It is generally used on stainless steel pipes and can be removed quickly; it is most commonly used in cosmetics factories and pharmaceutical companies.
It is easy to disassemble and install, but it cannot be used on high-pressure pipelines.
It seems that the valve body itself is no different from other types of butterfly valves; the only difference is that its connection method is clamping type. . It can only be used at zero pressure or low pressure, I guess. . If the pipes connected to this valve are also joined using clamps elsewhere, it can be used. . .
A clamp is a type of connection method; its performance has little to do with this, and factors such as sealing ability depend on the material used
Thank you all. Using it at the inlet and outlet of the circulating water pump is quite concerning.
It has been changed to a flange connection; I really haven’t seen clamps used in circulating water systems
Mainly used in low-pressure, non-toxic applications where installation is straightforward, with generally low leakage rates
Clamp valves are used on sanitary-grade pipelines for quick installation and removal. Suitable for low-pressure applications; it won’t work at higher pressures
