Does the injection of methanol containing wax into the tank have an impact on the floating disk?
It should have an impact; it will affect the gas-liquid equilibrium and heat balance of the tray
I’m not sure if yours is in the north or the south. In areas with low temperatures and without heating coils, wax-containing methanol will cause wax to accumulate on the walls of the tank, affecting the upward and downward movement of the float
What the poster is referring to is the aluminum floating disk of the large bottle of nail alcohol.
The waxy methanol has already had its long-chain components filtered out in the filter (5μm), and the dissolved wax poses no significant problem in the storage tank.
