I’ve been unable to figure out a few issues, so I’d like to ask for help from all you helpful friends. First, the recirculation pump is a GW pump – are valves needed at both the front and the back? Why? Should a butterfly valve or a globe valve be used generally? Where are check valves generally installed? Second, are reducer pipes required before and after the GW pump? Why? What is used to calculate the diameter of a reducer? Why is it necessary to use an eccentric pipe? Third, apart from pipeline sewage pumps, do other pumps require diameter changes?

In cases where a high head is required, reduced-diameter valves are typically used.
