Glycidyl methacrylate presents the following problems during production: it is difficult to distill a product with 99% purity, and it tends to polymerize at high distillation temperatures.
Hydroquinone, a polymerization inhibitor, has been added; it polymerizes easily at temperatures above 90°C
LZ, do you combine everything together and then separate it, or do you use a two-step method? Is there any epichlorohydrin? I use reduced-pressure steaming; the process is different from yours.
I also work with GMA. Hydroquinone doesn’t work; I use the inhibitor 705, and polymerization does not occur in the reactor, but it happens frequently in the distillation tower. I’m at my wits’ end now and hope to get some help
It does not polymerize at all in the laboratory, but polymerization occurs as soon as it is used in pilot-scale equipment

:What is the boiling point of your material? Negative pressure and forced reflux in the reboiler – try using a vacuum unit first. The boiling point is 190; at a negative pressure of 99, the boiling point is likely to be not very high. Adding a stable solvent with a lower boiling point also works, and it’s possible to obtain the product from the tower in this way. . .
What yield can you achieve for glycidyl methacrylate?
Under vacuum conditions, the probability of polymerization is lower
The temperature for vacuum distillation of acrylates should also not be too high; try using a combination of MEHQ and HQ.
Is no polymerization inhibitor sprayed from the top of the tower? It might be worth giving it a try
