What are the common faults of tower-type equipment?
Do you mean a failure of the tower itself or a failure during operation? ? Faults that occur during operation include: flooding, liquid entrainment in the gas phase within the tower which leads to abnormal operation, fluctuations in tower feed, substandard feed quality, corrosion and blockage of the tray plates and overflow weirs resulting in abnormal operation, the liquid level gauge in the tower bottom not providing readings, substandard liquid product at the tower bottom, the reflux pump at the tower top running dry, and large fluctuations in the pressure difference between the reflux tank and the tower top
Common faults of tower equipment include: 1. Scaling on the working surface, 2. Leakage at flange seals, 3. Local deformation of the tower body, 4. Cracks and perforations in the tower body, 5. Detachment and corrosion of the bubbling units on the tower plates
Check which tubes in the tube bundle are leaking. Check... Vibration of the tubes in shell-and-tube heat exchangers is a common fault
Common faults of tower equipment include: 1. Corrosion and leakage; 2. Leakage at seals or manholes; 3. Local deformation of the tower body; 4. Damage to components inside the tower; 5. Deposition corrosion and erosion corrosion; 6. Welding defects in the tower body (cracks, perforations); 7. Suspension of fluids and blockage of the tower.
1. The desired separation effect was not achieved; 2. The expected processing capacity has not been achieved ; 3. The pressure drop of the tower is too high or too low ; 4. Unstable operation of the tower ; 5. Corrosion and material issues of the tower! ! ! ! !
Common issues include floating valves falling off or becoming clogged due to self-polymerization, blockages in the downcomer, leaks or scaling in the tubes of the top condenser and bottom reboiler, which severely impairs heat exchange, as well as leaks at manholes and connections.
Be careful when maintaining the tower! If an explosion occurs, it will be very serious later on!
